The Facilities Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting facility planning, design, construction, and infrastructure initiatives that enable UT MD Anderson to advance its mission. The Facilities Project Manager represents Facilities Planning, Design and Construction while providing project management expertise for assigned capital facility projects and ensuring alignment with institutional standards and objectives.
The Facilities Project Manager manages project scope, budget, schedule, quality, compliance, and stakeholder coordination across multiple project phases. Through effective communication, documentation, and leadership, the Facilities Project Manager helps deliver successful projects that support the operational needs of UT MD Anderson.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of project/program management experience, including 5+ years leading construction or renovation projects in healthcare or research environments. They have expertise in full project lifecycle management, budgeting, scheduling, contract and vendor management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement, with experience working in occupied facilities and navigating healthcare regulatory requirements. The successful candidate is a collaborative, data-driven leader who can manage multiple concurrent projects, drive process improvements, and lead teams through changing priorities.
This is a highly influential role with the opportunity to help shape the Institutional Projects PM team and improve how the organization delivers projects. The position offers exposure to fast-paced renovation projects where results are visible quickly and provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the patients, caregivers, and communities the institution serves. Preferred qualifications include PMP, CCM, OSHA, or Lean/Six Sigma certifications, and proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Unifier.
Salary: $123,000 - $154,000 - $185,000

- Represent Facilities Planning, Design and Construction on assigned capital facility projects.
- Assist in managing complex major projects and independently manage less complex capital facility projects.
- Apply knowledge of construction processes, product applications, and building and infrastructure component assembly.
- Integrate and coordinate project elements to support successful project delivery.
- Delegate project activities and coordinate stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, communications, and stakeholder expectations.
- Monitor project progress and address changing priorities to maintain project objectives.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within approved budgets, and in accordance with applicable quality standards.
- Facilitate project information generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and disposition.
- Apply project management principles to support issue resolution and informed decision‑making.
