JOB DESCRIPTION GENERAL FUNCTION The Vice President, Doctor Alliances will serve as senior business leader overseeing Vision Source, PERC, and Opti Port, 3 of North America's premier independent doctor alliances. This executive will be responsible for driving growth, sustainable member value creation, operational excellence and financial performance. Reporting to the President/Chief Medical Officer of Vision Source, this position will lead commercial strategy, business operations, vendor partnerships, member engagement and growth initiatives for the Doctor Alliances portfolio integrating with Essilor Luxottica's broader ecosystem, partnering closely with marketing, and ensuring alignment with the company's clinical and commercial vision.
This role holds full P&L responsibility for the combined alliances and leads cross-functional teams across marketing, business development, vendor strategy, member services, and operational execution.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership & Business Growth Lead alliance business strategy, expansion and retention initiatives that strengthen member engagement and drive commercial outcomes Develop innovative programs and partnerships that enhance the value proposition for independent ODs and reinforce alliance loyalty Serve as executive sponsor for the integration of digital, lab and frame programs to accelerate revenue and margin growth Operational Excellence & Financial Management Drive disciplined financial management with ownership of P&L, forecasting and investment prioritization Establish KPIs to measure performance, ROI and member impact;
ensure alignment between commercial and clinical strategies Lead process optimization and resource planning to improve speed, scalability and profitability Vendor Strategy & Strategic Partnerships Lead vendor relations strategy for key categories Negotiate and manage national partnerships and contracts, ensuring pricing competitiveness and vendor performance Oversee programs such as Frame Dream and alliance-level sponsor ships, driving growth and operational integration across the portfolio Cross-Functional & Clinical Collaboration Partner with the President/ Chief Medical Officer to ensure alignment between clinical and business priorities Collaborate with EL business units to leverage shared capabilities to develop and execute programs that support alliance growth, member engagement, and commercial priorities Serve as a key liaison between the global Doctor Alliances leadership and NA PS leadership team People Leadership Build, mentor and lead a high-performing leadership team spanning commercial operations, member services, business development and alliance support functions Champion the independent OD community and act as the external face of the alliances with industry stakeholders
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in business, commercial strategy, sales and partnerships—preferably within healthcare, vision care or membership-based business. Demonstrated success leading large-scale business units with full P&L ownership Proven ability to drive growth and operational improvement across marketing, vendor strategy and business development Strong financial acumen with expertise in commercial analytics, forecasting and strategic planning Exceptional leadership, influence and communication skills across executive and clinical audiences Bachelor's degree required;
MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
