University of Houston is hiring a Program Manager - College of Social Work. The role manages day-to-day operations for the MSW Admissions Office, including budget oversight, staff guidance, and departmental policies and procedures. Recruitment and admissions support make up a large share of the work, from hosting information sessions and building tours to reviewing Master of Social Work applications and resolving student account holds.
Highlights- Manage day-to-day operations, budgets, and procedures for the MSW Admissions Office.
- Coordinate and host recruitment events, informational meetings, and Graduate School of Social Work building tours.
- Review Master of Social Work applications for completion and track deferrals and declines.
- Guide subordinate staff and student workers, evaluating performance and overseeing daily assignments.
- Resolve student account holds and respond to phone and email inquiries from prospective and admitted students.
- Prepare budget reports, ad hoc reports, and program documentation as needed.
- Bachelor's degree required; no prior experience required.
- Full-time position paying $43,000-$48,900 per year.
