Overview

Lead the expansion of ERM’s Electric Transmission Advisory Practice across Texas. This Partner‑level role shapes strategy, influences the market, and leads key infrastructure projects nationwide.

• Lead major electric transmission projects from concept through construction.
• Guide regulatory strategy, including CPCNs and related approvals.
• Expand ERM’s market influence with utilities, developers, and transmission owners.
• Mentor and grow high‑performing, multidisciplinary teams across Texas and the U.S.
• Advance ERM’s thought leadership in transmission siting, compliance, and grid modernization.
• Build and deepen strategic client relationships that drive long‑term growth.

• Grow a portfolio of transmission clients aligned with ERM’s business strategy.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑impact consulting services.
• Generate multi‑million‑dollar revenue through siting, NEPA/EA/EIS, routing, permitting, and compliance work.
• Contribute to ERM’s North America leadership team and strategic agenda.
• Champion ERM’s technical excellence and thought leadership in the power sector.

• Required: 15+ years in transmission siting/routing, environmental permitting, impact assessment, or regulatory strategy.
• Strong relationships with utilities, developers, or transmission owners.
• Experience in the Texas market (ERCOT/PUCT expertise strongly preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership delivering complex capital projects.
• Commercial and business development acumen.
• Preferred: Experience with ERCOT market design, interconnection strategy, or PUCT testimony.
• Background in grid modernization, long‑range transmission planning, or strategic advisory.

For the Partner, Electric Transmission & Distribution position, the anticipated annual base pay is $175,000 – $220,000 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. The role may be eligible for bonus pay, though bonus eligibility varies by employment status.
