In 2021, IES partnered with Boyne Capital, a Miami, FL-based Private Equity firm that seeks to forge lasting and collaborative relationships with companies and support them in achieving their next phase of growth.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of IES, the General Manager (GM) will serve as a pivotal operational leader at the company's Houston, TX facility. The GM will create a culture of safety, drive operational efficiency, and advance data-driven decision-making across the business, while overseeing the Houston warehouse and executing key initiatives to onboard and grow new customer relationships. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, enabling them to identify, design, and implement operational improvements across the organization.
Responsibilities- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to strengthen safety protocols and procedures
- Establish and enforce processes that drive efficiency, particularly on fixed-price customers and projects
- Refine the organization's use of data and leverage it to drive decision-making and evaluate performance
- Support new customer development, assisting BD personnel and senior leadership in winning and executing new-customer projects
- Oversee Houston warehouse operations
- 10+ years of wind industry experience, with established industry relationships
- Experience managing projects and tracking profitability on fixed-price projects (Open Air, Procore, or similar project-tracking software)
- Proven operational leadership experience at a mid-size company or a business unit/division of a larger business
- Experience managing teams of direct reports
- Local/willing to relocate to be on-site in Houston, TX
- Experience owning and managing full P&L responsibility for a division or business unit
- Track record building/enforcing a safety culture in a mobile field workforce
- Track record of winning new customers
- Experience overseeing fleet operations
- Demonstrated experience leading warehouse operations
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
