The General Manager is responsible for the successful management and direction of HOLT Industrial Systems daily operational activities. The incumbent will develop, monitor, promote and implement annual business plans for HOLT Industrial Systems division operations in order to maintain stability and growth for the division. - Hire, develop, evaluate, and influence effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
- Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Monitor, promote and align HOLT Industrial Systems daily operational activities in accordance with company mission, vision, and values so that they are effectively and consistently put into action
- Develop, monitor, promote and implement annual business plans for HOLT Industrial Systems division operations in order to maintain stability and growth for the division
- Select, evaluate, and develop HOLT Industrial Systems Human Resources function to ensure a competent, committed staff capable of providing Legendary Customer Service
- Evaluate, Allocate and Control resources (financial and physical: e. tooling, buildings, equipment, etc.) of the division in order to optimize Operating Income and meet the balanced needs of all stakeholder groups
- Monitor, Communicate and Implement daily operational practices (structure, systems, and processes) in order to provide legendary customer service and maximize productivity and efficiency
- Work safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily:
- Must have proven strategic leadership experience with positive gains year-over-year
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of the industrial air systems industry related to air compressors systems and its subcomponents
- Knowledge of commissioning and installing of new units
- Knowledge of project management schedules
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with vendors, own staff, and corporate executives to exchange information, influence and persuade
- Proficient skills required in solid problem solving, planning, organization, time management, and analysis
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization and HOLT Industrial Systems
- Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelors' Degree in related field preferred - Five (5) years operational leadership experience required; 10 years preferred
