Job SummaryThe Materials Handler will transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations.
Duties/Responsibilities- Process and handle materials for fabrication department
- Work with fabrication team to maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
- Use WMS system with bar‑code scanners to accurately reconcile inventory
- Support fabrication processes by sourcing tooling and axillary items in shop
- Stack and band materials by manual lifting and cranes
- Transport materials to and from yard and warehouse using forklifts
- Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping
- Return necessary product to stock; finished goods, leftover materials, excess materials, etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good math and written communication skills.
- Efficient time management skills.
- Forklift experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or other formal training in related field preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
