Sunrise Services is now hiring an experienced Vacuum Truck Technician. This exciting opportunity to join our team will have you working inside of chemical plants in the Houston area. We are now hiring technicians who will be responsible for helping operate state of the art heavy equipment used to package, transfer and vacuum product at various customer locations. This is a full-time, essential position.

- Helps operate and maintains an industrial equipment such as vacuum trucks, mobile packaging units, trailer transfer units, and roll off trucks safely and efficiently
- Ensures equipment is in compliance with safe work practices, policies and procedures
- Works to package, unload and transfer materials in railcars, if needed
- Works with sumps, drains, trenches, reactors and silos
- Fills out paperwork and communicates effectively with customer representative
- Follows all company and site safety procedures while operating machinery/vehicles
- Follows OSHA safety standards and is safety conscious at all times
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job
- Vacuum plastic material using a Vacuum Truck
- Wear personnel protective equipment (PPE) as defined by policy regulation, work practices, customer or as directed
- Work flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays
- Travel to remote work sites and periodically stay overnight for extended periods of time
- Work effectively in team environment and provide support and assistance
- Inspect equipment including hoses, equipment connections, ensure deficiencies with equipment are corrected to ensure safety and compliance with regulations and policies
- Maintain a safe, neat and clean work environment this includes: work area and equipment
- Read and understand work permits and JSA/JLA procedures
- Must possess a Valid Driver's License & TWIC Card
- Must have a Class C Driver License
- 2 or more years' experience in a chemical plant, industrial, warehouse, technician or manufacturing work environment is a plus, but not required
- 21 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Stable work history with good references from past employers
- Pass a background check
- Speak fluent English
- Must be very safety conscience!
- Able to pass background check, drug and alcohol tests.
- Must be flexible to work long hours and weekends as needed, and available to work occasional after hours "on-call".
