Houston, TX. Salary: $30 - $45 per hour.
Join a high‑precision machining and fabrication team supporting complex, tight‑tolerance work across energy, aerospace, and heavy industrial applications. You’ll be the go‑to Mastercam expert for 5‑axis programming while also supporting lathe and 3/4‑axis mill work from prototype through production. Job Details- Program complex 5‑axis CNC parts in Mastercam (toolpaths, posts, verifications, setup documentation).
- Create efficient programs for CNC lathes and 3‑/4‑axis mills; optimize feeds/speeds, work holding, and tool selection.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications; confirm manufacturability and recommend improvements.
- Perform first‑article prove‑outs with machinists; troubleshoot, reduce cycle time, and elevate surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain digital tooling libraries and standard work; partner with QA for in‑process checks and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and collaborative shop environment.
- 5+ years of recent Mastercam programming experience for 5‑axis milling (required).
- Solid background programming CNC lathes and 3‑/4‑axis mills.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, work offsets, probing, and precision machining practices.
- Proven track record taking parts from print/CAD to first‑article approval.
- Clear, professional English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on quality, throughput, and on‑time delivery.
