Manufacturing Production, Forklift Operator
Schedule Hours
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (hours may vary depending on operations).
Base Pay$17.50 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities- Understands and follows safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
- Assist CPU customers.
- Takes loading photos.
- Uploads loading photos.
- Scans loading documentation.
- Utilizes scanning equipment.
- Assist with location job order on the production floor.
- Employs a range of crating and packaging resources, including metal bands and protective coverings, to ensure parts are securely fastened and safeguarded during transport.
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other lifting equipment.
- Responsible for each lift, deciding when to check actual vs maximum allowable trailer load.
- Assists with inventory counts as required.
- Maintains practices for continuous improvement within the work area.
- Inspects work visually for defects according to Quality Systems.
- Provides cost‑saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste.
- Willing/able to work overtime.
- Can read, write, and follow posted schedules.
- May be assigned other projects or tasks by the team leader.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Forklift experience a plus / Must be trainable on forklift.
- Crane experience a plus / Must be trainable on crane.
- Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Some knowledge of a manufacturing environment.
