Industrial Manufacturer is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to support our oilfield manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe machines to produce precision oil and gas components. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with CNC lathes, a solid understanding of oilfield threading standards, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and run CNC lathe machines with minimal supervision.
  • Machine oil and gas accessories and components to tight tolerances.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Work with API, premium threads, and other oilfield threading standards.
  • Modify, edit, and optimize CNC programs at the machine as required.
  • Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all shop safety, quality, and production procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of CNC lathe experience in a machine shop environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience machining premium threading connections.
  • Broad, working knowledge of CNC operations from setup through production.
  • Proven experience machining oil and gas components or similar precision parts.
  • Strong familiarity with oilfield threading specifications and tolerances.
  • Ability to independently run jobs from print to completion.
  • Experience editing and modifying CNC programs (G-code or conversational, as applicable).
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple CNC lathe controls (e.g., Fanuc, Okuma OSP).
  • Knowledge of materials commonly used in oil and gas applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
