CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• 2.1 Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes) to manufacture parts to precise specifications.
• 2.2 Interpret blueprints, process routers, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
• 2.3 Perform machine setups, including selection and installation of tooling, fixtures, and materials.
• 2.4 Make necessary offsets and tool changes during production to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• 2.5 Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• 2.6 Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• 2.7 Create and/or edit CNC programs to improve cycle times, part quality, and machine efficiency.
• 2.8 Perform routine maintenance on machines and report issues requiring additional repair or service.
• 2.9 Communicate effectively with supervisors, programmers, and quality control personnel regarding production issues or improvements.
• 2.10 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards.
• 2.11 Follow company policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance.
• 2.12 Assist fellow machinists with troubleshooting and support as needed.
• 2.13 Perform various other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support production goals.
