Overview
Associate Technician
Adecco is hiring for Associate Technicians in Houston, Tx. As an Associate Technician, you will work in a manufacturing environment within the finish department. You will follow established standards and comply with company and regulatory policies. This role requires consistent attendance and the ability to perform repetitive production tasks with accuracy.
Responsibilities- Perform mounting, including drilling lenses for proper alignment and inserting lenses into frames.
- Use bevel equipment to remove sharp edges from lenses when required.
- Operate edging machines to cut lenses to the correct size and shape for selected frames.
- Prepare uncut lenses for edging by marking alignment points and attaching the chuck or block.
- Maintain production quality and meet established throughput standards.
- Follow safety procedures and report issues promptly.
- Able to work in a fast-paced production setting and communicate effectively with team members.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English.
- Able to stand in one location for an 8-hour shift.
- Comfortable with repetitive-motion tasks.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, decimals, and comparison of numbers and letters.
- Visual abilities needed: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Strong hand–eye coordination, including fine motor skills and bilateral reaching.
- Able to organize tasks, prioritize work, follow procedures, and use good judgment.
- Previous experience or training in optical manufacturing.
- Experience with mounting, edging, and final inspection.
- Prior work in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Weekly pay at $17.58/hr
- M-F 8:00am-4:30pm
