MACHINIST - HOUSTON, TX

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Operate bolt forging machine and press machine

* Inspect products to ensure quality by using precision measuring instruments, gages, and visual inspection.

* Process materials on production equipment

* Report daily production totals

* Detect and report defective materials

* Check parts in process as directed by work instructions

* Fill out part identification tags

* Move parts using pallet jacks, hoists, or forklifts

* Maintain cleanliness of the work area

* Identify and document downtime

* Identify and document scrap

* Assist other operators as needed during change overs

QUALIFICATIONS

* Operate bolt forging machine and press machine

* To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

* Ability to read and understand technical instructions

* Good eye hand coordination

* Basic math skills

* Experience with handheld measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers

* Ability to be trained to set up coils and set dies

* Positive attitude/team player

* Must have experience in die changeover and set up of stamping presses.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Minimum one-year related experience and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* High school diploma or GED required.

7AM-5PM, Monday-Friday
