An opportunity has arisen for a Grinder to join our busy Advanced Remanufacturing Business based in Wellheads, Dyce. The successful candidate will carry out Creep Feed, Surface Grind, Electro Discharge Machine, Laser Drilling, Air Flow Testing & Vertical Machining Centre operations on engine components.

• Carry out operations/set up of Creep Feed Grinder / Surface Grinding, Electro Discharge Machine, Vertical Machining Centre, Laser Drilling & Airflow Testing.
• Carry out daily maintenance checks, top ups & cleaning
• Plan and organise each task given to ensure that it complies with QHS&E Company procedures / guidelines and is completed in a timely manner
• Ensure correct procedures and documentation are used at all times
• Provide regular feedback to Supervisor on progress of each task and elevate any issues that may impact on agreed turn times
• Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and perform other related or comparable duties as assigned (5’s)
• Communicate effectively within the department and provide support and assistance to other staff/suppliers where appropriate
• Undertake other duties as reasonably required to meet the needs of the Business.

• Knowledge of Creep Feed/Surface Grind, EDM, Laser Drilling, Airflow Testing & Vertical Machining Centre (Siemens Controls) is desirable
• Competent using measuring equipment
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to translate technical requirements into operational instructions
• Understand technical drawings and specifications
• Good organisational, planning and communication skills
• Ability to be innovative
• Excellent attention to detail
