Maintenance Technician – Industrial Manufacturing
Location: Houston, TX, 77039
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM) – rotating schedule with maintenance team
About the RoleWe are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role works directly with production teams to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently in a sheet-metal HVAC manufacturing environment.
This position regularly works on the production floor and responds to both scheduled and emergency maintenance needs.
What You’ll Do- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems on manufacturing equipment
- Maintain and service presses, CNC lasers, panel benders, shear machines, and related equipment
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and document work in CMMS
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and work orders
- Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics
- Support facility maintenance including lighting, plumbing, and building repairs
- Work with production teams to maintain safe and efficient operations
- Inspect equipment for hazards and report defects
- Follow all safety procedures including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing
- Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and automated machinery
- Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
- Experience using multimeters and diagnostic tools
- Knowledge of VFDs, starters, relays, fuses, and contractors
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces
- Valid Class C driver’s license and ability to travel between facilities
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Preventive/predictive maintenance programs
- Welding or cutting torch use
- Forklift or rigging/hoist crane operation
- Pipe threading and EMT conduit installation
- Associates degree in a technical field
- Stable manufacturing environment
- Variety of equipment and hands-on technical work
- Cross-facility exposure and skill development
