Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a General Manager to oversee full-site operations at a brown-field startup facility supporting rotating equipment and turbo machinery services. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the facility, including health and safety, quality, delivery, and financial results. This leadership role requires a hands‑on, technically competent professional who can drive operational excellence while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Duties
  • Establish and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Lead daily site operations including machining, assembly, balancing, inspection, and repair activities
  • Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics; maintain visibility and accountability of KPIs
  • Oversee facility upgrades, equipment readiness, preventive maintenance, and site improvements
  • Provide technical leadership during disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of complex rotating equipment
  • Ensure compliance with API‑style turbo machinery repair and manufacturing standards, including centrifugal and axial compressors, steam turbines, screw compressors, and hot gas expanders
  • Collaborate with planning and scheduling to ensure on‑time project completion and efficient workflow
  • Support troubleshooting efforts, root cause analysis, and quality control initiatives
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate staff to build a high‑performing team
  • Partner with Human Resources to address personnel matters and maintain policy compliance
  • Manage site‑level P&L responsibilities including CAPEX, OPEX, labor utilization, and headcount planning
  • Participate in business planning, risk mitigation, and resource allocation decisions
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement through strong leadership presence on the shop floor
Requirements / Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience within the turbo machinery or rotating equipment industry
  • Demonstrated success managing operations with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Strong technical knowledge of turbo machinery repair, manufacturing processes, and rotating equipment systems
  • Experience with ERP systems, BOM structures, and production workflow management
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and procedures
  • Working knowledge of welding/fabrication processes, balancing principles, and leak testing methods
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and foster collaboration
  • Hands‑on leadership style with willingness to work in an active shop environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
  • Experience launching or expanding a manufacturing or repair facility preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies preferred
  • Previous P&L responsibility at a site or business unit level preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must meet company and customer requirements for background and drug/alcohol screening
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work full‑time on‑site in an active shop environment with exposure to mechanical equipment and moderate noise
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on the shop floor
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. independently and up to 50 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to safely navigate shop and facility areas
  • Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as necessary to meet customer commitments
