Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $18.00-$20.00/hour
Assembly Technician Responsibilities:
- Assemble HVAC units and subcomponents (mechanical and electrical) according to production drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Install and adjust components such as fans, motors, coils, circuit boards, and control panels with precision and care
- Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure assembly accuracy and adherence to engineering standards
- Report defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the production supervisor immediately
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, including electric screwdrivers, soldering irons, torque wrenches, and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, rulers)
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S and safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and goals
- Follow standard operating procedures and participate in training or continuous improvement initiatives as needed
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the production supervisor or team lead
Skills and Abilities
:
- Ability to read and interpret basic assembly drawings, work instructions, and schematics
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and basic electrical or mechanical assembly tools
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work
- Good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and work with small parts
- Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; practical experience is valued over formal education
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or automotive assembly is a strong plus
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise, machinery, and HVAC components
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand or move for extended periods of time
