Special Fabrication Technician

This position will manage the sales team and be responsible for business development.

SUMMARY:

In this role we are seeking a highly qualified skilled commercial Sheet Metal Technician to join our team!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform different types of sheet metal welding and metal finishing.
• File and grind surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
• Keeps personal work area organized and clean, returns tools and maintains parts/materials carts in an organized manner.
• Understand and follow all written instructions as per requirements, inspection plans, etc.
• Accurately complete all required documentation at the time of the task in Builder Trend software.
• Visually inspects completed jobs to ensure quality and specifications objectives are met.
• Assumes responsibility and care of all company tools in assigned/dedicated work centers.
• Report to work timely and regularly as scheduled per company's attendance policy and requirements.
• Recommends process improvements to supervisor or management.
• Understand and comply with company policy, safety guidelines, quality system procedures, and 5S and housekeeping standards
• Experience with aluminum fabrication and/or sheet metal work required.

  Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and to respond to questions from vendors and other employees.
• Physical Demands:
  Employee is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb. The employee must safely lift and move up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
• Work Environment:
  This position requires one to work both in an office, warehouse and production environment and outdoors. There is a moderate level of noise, heat, cold, dust and dirt.
