Shipfitters - Marine Shipyard
- Houston, TX
Core Group Resources is seeking experienced Shipfitters to support the fabrication, assembly, and erection of structural steel components for marine vessel construction. These professionals will interpret complex blueprints, perform precise steel layout and alignment, and work in demanding shipyard environments. The role is ideal for individuals with strong shipbuilding experience who thrive in physically challenging conditions and prioritize safety and accuracy.

- Strong shipfitting skills including layout, steel prep, and structural assembly
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints (metric and standard)
- Experience with datum lines for accurate unit setting and erection
- Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills
- Ability to work various shifts (day or night)
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- U.S. Citizenship or authorization to work in the United States
- 6+ years of marine, shipbuilding, or heavy construction experience
- Advanced blueprint reading and structural alignment skills
- Familiarity with marine construction standards and tolerances
