The Vinyl Applicator requires a detail-oriented individual who possesses a keen eye for design and craftsmanship. This individual will play a vital role in the production and application of high-quality vinyl to sports related signage.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare signs for vinyl application - this includes measuring and cleaning the signs prior to graphics installation.
- Utilize production software and plotter for cutting vinyl.
- Weed excess vinyl from computer cut vinyl using a variety of techniques.
- Install vinyl graphics on finished signs and scoreboards.
- Use tape measure to ensure accuracy.
- Read and interpret artwork illustrations to match customer expectations.
- Wears PPE always when using tools and equipment.
- Maintain plotter in proper working condition and replace cutters as necessary.
- Turn in labor time tickets daily.
- Always maintain a clean and neat work area.
- Plan and organize multiple projects to meet schedules and tight deadlines.
- Periodically assist other departments with their job functions when directed by supervisor.
- Must demonstrate the ability to properly handle and operate graphics plotters and cutting tools.
- Must have adequate hand strength for an 8-hour shift utilizing hand tools.
- Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and customers.
- Operate Windows and OS2 computers, and mobile devices and use the appropriate authorized business applications, including PYRO, Outlook, Word, Excel, and other systems as assigned.
- Must be able to lift moderate weights.
- Must be able to be on your feet & stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work safely.
- Strong math skills and the ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of one year of related experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Corel graphics software.
