Shift:

• 1st Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible start time as needed)
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (+$0.50/hr shift differential)

Staffmark is hiring an experienced Material Handler for a temp-to-hire position with a leading industrial manufacturer and distributor in Houston, TX. This company is known for its innovation, reliability, and dedication to creating a supportive work environment where dependable employees are valued. In this role, you'll play an important part in maintaining warehouse flow, moving materials safely and efficiently, and supporting daily operations in a fast-paced industrial setting.

What you'll do:

• Operate forklifts, side loaders, overhead cranes, and RF scanners to move materials safely and efficiently
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using both hand and machine tools
• Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures to ensure product accuracy
• Maintain familiarity with warehouse equipment including banding and cutting tools
• Follow detailed instructions-both written and verbal-with precision
• Keep your workspace clean, organized, and compliant with all safety protocols

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of forklift/material handling experience in a high-volume warehouse
• Valid forklift license and ability to pass operational evaluations
• Comfortable using RF devices and precision measuring tools
• Strong math and measurement skills; able to read down to 1/16"
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet 80% of the shift
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality work
