Description
  • Ensure all parameters of Safety, Food Safety and Quality are adhered to and maintained throughout the plant.
  • Immediately report to supervisor any incident and unsafe condition.
  • Lead by example in influencing safe behavior and contributing to establishing an effective safety culture.
  • Set up and operate plastic processing machinery such as injection molding machines, extruders, or blow molding machines according to standard operating procedures.
  • Perform job roll changes, clear machine jams, and adjust machine settings as required to ensure acceptable quality pouch.
  • Operate a complex bag machine, troubleshoot, and make minor adjustments to the machine.
  • Clear machine jams and report to the process lead.
  • Supply necessary raw materials to the machine.
  • Scan and label finished product boxes.
  • Identify and remove defects found in production.
  • Use Auto Count, Blue Line, and Fast Field software properly.
  • Keep track of the work in process during every shift change.
  • Follow inspection, production, and operational procedures according to work instructions.
  • Fill out production and inspection reports accurately and attentively.
  • Understand and comply with key performance indicators.
  • Conduct quality checks and identify products that fail to meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Maintain the assigned area clean and organized.
  • Perform all tasks with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
  • Follow housekeeping standards and the 5S methodology.
  • Conduct other duties as assigned by management.
  • Train new associates.
  • Die and zipper spools, case labels, and related tasks.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience

Preferred experience in manufacturing and operating different types of machines.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures, and chemicals.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
