- Ensure all parameters of Safety, Food Safety and Quality are adhered to and maintained throughout the plant.
- Immediately report to supervisor any incident and unsafe condition.
- Lead by example in influencing safe behavior and contributing to establishing an effective safety culture.
- Set up and operate plastic processing machinery such as injection molding machines, extruders, or blow molding machines according to standard operating procedures.
- Perform job roll changes, clear machine jams, and adjust machine settings as required to ensure acceptable quality pouch.
- Operate a complex bag machine, troubleshoot, and make minor adjustments to the machine.
- Clear machine jams and report to the process lead.
- Supply necessary raw materials to the machine.
- Scan and label finished product boxes.
- Identify and remove defects found in production.
- Use Auto Count, Blue Line, and Fast Field software properly.
- Keep track of the work in process during every shift change.
- Follow inspection, production, and operational procedures according to work instructions.
- Fill out production and inspection reports accurately and attentively.
- Understand and comply with key performance indicators.
- Conduct quality checks and identify products that fail to meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain the assigned area clean and organized.
- Perform all tasks with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
- Follow housekeeping standards and the 5S methodology.
- Conduct other duties as assigned by management.
- Train new associates.
- Die and zipper spools, case labels, and related tasks.
- Able to interact and communicate with others; a team player.
- Flexible to the demands of production.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Mechanical ability to run equipment and use small hand tools.
- Basic math and measuring ability.
- Basic computer and electronic device skills.
- Mental alertness to identify and react to machine processes, quality and safety issues.
- Organized, multitask, and keep up in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred experience in manufacturing and operating different types of machines.
Physical Requirements- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
- Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures, and chemicals.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
