Centerless Grinder Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Requirements: Must have steel-toe shoes
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Centerless Grinder to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining centerless grinding equipment to produce high-quality precision parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate centerless grinding machines according to specifications
- Inspect and measure parts to ensure they meet required tolerances
- Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and production efficiency
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes and product quality
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating centerless grinding machines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read technical documents
- Knowledge of grinding wheels and their applications
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Openness to learning new techniques and technologies
