Schedule: Monday - Friday; 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the assembly, inspection, maintenance, and preparation of gas turbine and compressor packages and related subassemblies.

• Assemble and disassemble gas turbine and compressor packages using approved procedures and precision tools
• Interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions
• Perform alignments, measurements, machining adjustments, and tolerance checks (±0.001")
• Inspect, clean, stage, repair, and preserve components for assembly operations
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, cranes, hoists, and rigging devices
• Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore scopes, and specialty torque tools
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, Material Control, and production teams to ensure assembly excellence
• Document measurements, inspections, and assembly data accurately
• Assist with troubleshooting non-conforming parts and identifying process improvements
• Train and mentor less experienced technicians
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all EHS and safety procedures

• High School Diploma or GED (OR 10 years of relevant Gas Turbine and Compressor experience)
• 5+ years of experience assembling rotating equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and assembly procedures
• Experience using precision measuring tools and performing close‑tolerance work
• Ability to work safely with cranes, forklifts, hoists, and lifting equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, crouch, kneel, and work in confined or elevated spaces
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Experience with turbo machinery equipment, including:

• SGT 100–400
• A35 / A65 gas turbine and compressor packaging
• RF and Datum range turbo compressors

Additional preferred experience:

• Forklift and crane certifications
• Gas turbine packaging assembly
• Machining adjustments and assembly sequencing development
• Mentoring or training junior technicians
