Composites Technician – Houston, TX
As a Composite Tech your primary focus will be manufacturing and assembling large to small scale components for our Lunar Lander vehicle within our AI&T team. Your role will involve handling, cutting, and bonding various composite panels and laminates, and assembling composite components into various sub-assemblies. You will be exposed to a wide range of hand tools and precision tools.
This opportunity is intended for active‑duty military members eligible to participate in the DoW Skill Bridge Program.
Preferred Education or Experience/Skills- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Composite experience
- Attention to detail
- Able to work in a team environment
- Familiar with 3D CAD software
- Understanding of engineer drawings (GD&T)
- Drilling, sanding, and cutting composite products
- Familiar with precision tools, hand tools, and power tools
- Familiar with supporting aircraft and flight hardware operations
- Motivated self‑starter and willing to learn and develop
- Obtained Airframe and/or Powerplant license, but not required
This role may require standing for extended periods, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, and lifting or moving materials or equipment. Employees may be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
