Clayton Services is searching for a Wireman to join a thriving company in North Houston. The Wireman will be responsible for wiring, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting industrial control panels, PLC systems, and electrical components while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $30.00/hour plus OT

Wireman Responsibilities:

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and layout drawings.
Assemble and wire industrial control panels, switch gear, and electrical enclosures.
Install and terminate wiring for PLCs, relays, breakers, motor starters, VFDs, and other control devices.
Perform point-to-point wiring and ensure proper labeling and identification of components.
Mount electrical components according to layout drawings and specifications.
Conduct continuity testing and assist with functional testing of completed panels.
Troubleshoot and correct wiring issues as needed.
Assist with panel modifications, rework, and production changes.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Skills and Abilities

:

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
Knowledge of PLC wiring, control circuits, and basic electrical theory.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and testing equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as production demands increase.

Wireman Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical training in electrical systems preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of industrial control panel wiring experience required
Experience working in a manufacturing, panel shop, or industrial environment is required

Wireman Schedule:

Monday through Friday, starting at 6:00 AM.
Typical hours are 6:00 AM – 4:30/5:30 PM.
Initial workload expected to be 40–50 hours per week, with significant overtime opportunities available as production ramps up.
Must be available to work weekends as production requires.
