Job SummaryApache Workforce is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler / Fabrication & Assembly Technician to join our production team. This position is responsible for following shop drawings and specifications to drill, cut, grind, assemble, and install components onto control panels and enclosures according to company quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience using metalworking tools, interpreting blueprints, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and layout drawings
Layout device locations on stainless steel and mild steel enclosures
Use plasma cutters, jig saws, grinders, drills, and hole saws to create device cutouts
Measure, layout, drill, and tap steel plates using hand and power tools
Install DIN rail, wire duct, equipment, terminal blocks, and nameplates
Assemble components according to project specifications and shop standards
Verify quality and accuracy throughout the assembly process
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Complete assigned projects within quoted labor hours
Assist with additional production tasks as needed to meet project deadlines
Perform customer site work and installations when required
Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 year of experience using metalworking tools in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attendance and reliability
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, driving record review, and background check
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds or more
Ability to bend, stoop, stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
Preferred QualificationsExperience assembling electrical control panels, enclosures, or industrial equipment
Experience working with stainless steel and mild steel fabrication
Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards and shop safety procedures
