If you've worked in purchasing for a cabinet manufacturer, you know the frustration.

Production gets delayed because materials arrive late. Vendors overpromise and under deliver. Costs increase without warning. You're expected to solve problems quickly, but often don't have a seat at the table when decisions are made.

At Wisenbaker, purchasing isn't just placing orders.

It's a critical function that helps keep our manufacturing operation running efficiently, supports our production teams, and ensures our customers receive the quality products they expect.

We're looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent who understands cabinet manufacturing, knows how to build strong supplier relationships, and takes pride in finding the right materials at the right price without sacrificing quality.

Your ability to manage suppliers, monitor inventory, negotiate costs, and stay ahead of purchasing needs directly impacts production schedules, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

You'll work closely with manufacturing, inventory, warehouse, and leadership teams to ensure our operation has what it needs to succeed.

What You'll DoPurchase materials and supplies needed to support cabinet production

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and purchasing agreements

Monitor inventory levels and proactively plan procurement activities

Research and evaluate new suppliers and sourcing opportunities

Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials

Analyze supplier performance, pricing, and market conditions

Partner with production and operations teams to support manufacturing schedules

Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements

Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation

What You Bring High school diploma or GED required2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within a cabinet manufacturing environment

Strong understanding of materials used in cabinet production

Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with Insight 2020 is a plus Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Working Environment This position is primarily office-based but regularly interacts with warehouse and manufacturing operations. Some time will be spent in production areas learning materials, species, grades, and product requirements. Occasional travel, overtime, and Saturday work may be required based on business needs.
