Position OverviewWe are seeking a Warehouse Laborer 1 for our office in Houston, TX. The warehouse laborer will store and move raw materials, finished products, packing materials and essential supplies while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and productivity. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Comply with all company safety and security policies, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Report injuries, accidents, near‑misses, or unsafe conditions to a manager or supervisor immediately.
- Ensure equipment is operating properly and safely before use. Complete the required documentation to safely utilize equipment and report damaged equipment or facility damage promptly.
- Handle products safely in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
- Provide outstanding service to our customers, ensuring orders are 100% filled and on time.
- Receive and ship products without error.
- Use the first‑in‑first‑out method to rotate finished products, labeling and returning all products to designated locations.
- Follow all quality procedures for the preservation, packaging and storage of products.
- Adhere to on‑call/off‑call schedule, being available on short notice around the clock and on‑call week.
- Support the supervisor and/or manager in ensuring the quality and quantity of work meet performance expectations set by management.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including timely transfer of materials out of the warehouse facility.
- Perform accurate and timely inventories of raw products, finished products, packaging, materials and supplies, reconciling physical inventory as required.
- Participate in training and cross‑training within other areas to maximize labor efficiency and prevent downtime or disruption to operations.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of equipment.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Zero to three years of related experience and/or training, preferably in the oil and gas industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Basic math skills for business calculations.
- Computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
- Understanding of written statements in work‑related documents.
- Proficiency in operating a forklift.
- Proficiency in communicating with colleagues and creating a team‑working environment.
- Current health, safety & environmental (HSE) training per the division training matrix.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures and strategies to promote safe operations.
- Ethical business practices.
- Appropriate PPE required to complete assigned tasks.
- Recognize a problem and communicate it to a supervisor.
- Concentrate on a task over time without distraction.
- Accurately complete and maintain reports and records in a timely and legible manner, according to applicable procedures and work orders.
- Commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
- Organize tasks and responsibilities to maintain production output standards.
- Perform routine inventory cycle counts according to standard operating procedures.
- Read, interpret and work from drawings, schematics, diagrams, sketches or specifications.
