Day Shift Available

Pay: $20.00–$28.00/hour based on experience

Night Shift Differential:
Additional 10% on top of base pay

Apache Workforce is currently hiring experienced Instrument Fitters for opportunities in Houston, TX. We are seeking skilled candidates with instrumentation, tubing, and fabrication experience who can perform precise assembly work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Overview

The Instrument Fitter is responsible for fitting and assembling instrument systems, bending and installing tubing, and ensuring all instrumentation components meet engineering specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run pneumatic tubing and install instrument lines
  • Complete layout and routing of tubing on skids and systems
  • Install tubing to end devices and instrumentation components
  • Bend stainless steel tubing (¼”–½”) accurately to specification
  • Fabricate brackets, braces, and instrument racks as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&, and instrumentation diagrams
  • Understand system flow and instrumentation functions
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S standards
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures
  • Properly use PPE and report safety concerns immediately
  • Participate in safety training and compliance programs
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and P&
  • Knowledge of instrumentation systems and end devices
  • Experience working with various types of tubing
  • Strong math and measurement skills
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work accurately in a detail‑oriented environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred for communication and teamwork
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as an Instrument Fitter
  • Experience bending stainless steel tubing
  • Basic understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing/shop environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and compliance programs
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Work Environment &

Physical Requirements
  • Work performed in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
  • Exposure to industrial conditions including heat, noise, and dust
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift (with breaks)
  • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and standing required
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
  • Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required at all times
