Location: Open Position for Houston and Conroe, TX
Role Overview:
The Production Supervisor at Precision Glass Industries in Houston and Conroe is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and optimization of the glass lines. This role is crucial for meeting production expectations, maintaining high-quality products, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and cleanliness within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet production schedules and optimize processes.
- Ensure lines operate within specified parameters to meet targets.
- Implement and adjust production plans to maximize throughput.
- Set targets for the production of different types of glass, ensuring quality and specifications are met.
- Perform routine inspections and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules.
- Promote machinery ownership and autonomous maintenance among operators.
- Recruit, train, and supervise operators.
- Set performance standards and monitor operator performance.
- Enforce quality control measures and conduct inspections.
- Document quality metrics and implement improvements.
- Analyze and improve production processes.
- Work towards meeting or exceeding production goals.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Establish KPIs, prepare reports, and hold team accountable.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization, implementing 5S principles.
- Identify training needs and facilitate skill development.
- Maintain effective communication with other departments and teams.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual communication skills.
- Teamwork, productivity, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (preferred).
- Experience in glass manufacturing or similar industries.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
