Materials Manager – Global Aftermarket Valves Leader
Lead strategic material planning for global valve projects, optimizing inventory and aligning production schedules across manufacturing units.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials from suppliers and across departments to meet production schedules.
- Lead master planning, material processes, and systems to ensure alignment with production plans and KPIs.
- Develop midterm plans for the manufacturing unit and contribute to the broader business unit strategy.
- Coordinate wing‑to‑wing Material Management processes (Cyberplan, Demand Planning, Input/Output model, Inventory targets, S&OP), ensuring consistency across all sites and operational alignment with production plans and KPIs.
- Evaluate the impact of Engineering Change Orders and the KIT OTD, taking subsequent actions.
- Collect and analyze data from company functions, identify deviations from the original schedule, and propose corrective actions.
- Participate in Revenue Pacing Meetings as the main Global Manufacturing point of contact for other functions.
- Optimize inventory levels and drive process improvements across the supply chain.
- Participate in cross‑disciplinary discussions to assess future developments and their impact on the business.
- Develop a strategic mid‑term plan for the manufacturing unit aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Project Management) to identify problems and provide solutions for issues affecting OTD project performance.
- Manage master planning, material processes, and systems to support production schedules and purchasing needs.
- Conduct strategic interactions due to complex long‑term planning and customized sales processes.
- Coordinate Project Management, Finance, Engineering, Sourcing, and Manufacturing teams during planning and execution for plants.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in materials planning and execution, with a focus on process improvements.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
- Experience leading programs and projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute initiatives.
- Established project management skills.
