The Production Shift Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and should possess a wholistic extensive knowledge of the entire production line and production process from Receiving Raw Materials thru to Finished Goods & Shipping. This person will act as 1 st level management of all Production Line Operators & Leads while also possessing the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and fix issues with the machinery as it arises.

The Production Shift Supervisor will be responsible for achieving shift specific goals and maintaining the culture & efficiency of shift staff.

Responsibilities

• On-line presence and 1 st level management of shift operators & leads.
• The safety of employees on shift.
• To work closely with shift maintenance personnel to ensure down time is limited and proper preventative & emergency maintenance is tended to as it is scheduled.
• Meeting the production goals in both quality & quantity
• Shift discipline, employee review & to aide with the hiring & firing practices
• Training machine operators, forklift drivers, inspectors, graders and leads.
• Startup & Close of a shift (verifying the proper procedures are followed thru with) and that the facility is secure.
• Shift labor paperwork & shift metrics.
• Accountability for the actions of all personnel working underneath their charge.
• This is for our second shift, usual hours are 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Monday thru Friday.

Requirements

• Possessing or the ability to be trained in an extensive knowledge of Product Specifications and the standards of FFP.
• Possessing or the ability to be trained in an extensive knowledge of machine software to the point of comfortability & confidence in changing parameters as needed to ensure production specifications are met & machines are working properly.
• Possessing or the ability to be trained in a working knowledge of basic troubleshooting practices, basic mechanical fixes & electrical diagnosis.
• Strong leadership traits & decision-making abilities to aide in shift situations & labor efficiency.
• Supervisory experience.
• Mechanical experience.

Compensation

• Base Salary commensurate with production experience & industry experience.
• Bonus structure based upon Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Production Goals.
