Fitter​/Welder

Our client, a leader in gas turbine and rotating equipment manufacturing, is seeking a USA|Fitter/Welder 1 to join their assembly and maintenance team supporting gas turbine overhaul projects. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a proactive attitude.

Houston, TX

• Perform fitting, tacking, and welding of components according to detailed drawings and welding standards.
• Inspect, repair, replace, and maintain mechanical components on gas turbines and compressor packages.
• Work with engineering and quality control teams to ensure assembly accuracy and quality.
• Operate cutting rigs, welding machinery, and measuring tools safely and efficiently.
• Interpret complex assembly instructions, blueprints, and specifications to meet production goals.

• High School Diploma, GED, or 10+ years of relevant stainless steel pipe welding experience; technical certificates and work experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in assembly of rotating equipment manufacturing, with welding and cutting tools expertise.
• Experience with gas turbine mechanical work and overhaul preferred.
• Knowledge of Siemens Energy Turbo machinery assembly, including development and interpretation of technical instructions, is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
