Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering

Performs advanced purchasing activities to procure materials, components, and services required for operations. Responsible for supplier coordination, expediting, cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Negotiate annual agreements.
- Plan and monitor inventory levels.
- Follow established procedures, practices and policies to contact vendors, obtain quotations. Examine bids, make awards, place orders and expedite delivery of goods/services.
- Exercise judgment and working knowledge of materials and sources of supply to make purchase at a price consistent with quality, quantity, and scheduling requirements
- Knowledge of MRP systems (Oracle EBS / ASCP preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in supplier negotiation
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience 7+ years of manufacturing purchasing experience
- Possible exposure to production environment through equipment electrical hazards
- Limited as needed
