Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician. The hourly rate for this position is $20.50 per hour.
Hours:
6 AM – 2:30 PM.

What You’ll Do- Assemble, fit and mount sub‑assemblies, components, and fixed assemblies in Motor Control Centers, Enclosed Control and related assemblies.
- Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection; assemble and wire units, relay panels, panel boards, space heaters, and control panels.
- Bend and install power cable and leads; fabricate pre‑cable unit, panel, and MTB harnesses.
- Use established power‑checking procedures to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of units.
- Stage parts for customer orders.
- Work from oral or written instructions from supervision or from manufacturing information sheets and wiring diagrams.
- Utilize manufacturing information sheets, determine necessary parts, write requisitions, and obtain materials from stock areas.
- Assemble and fit parts and components to form sub‑assemblies or completed assemblies.
- Assemble and wire control devices, cutting wires to length.
- Make adjustments to ensure correct alignment and clearances.
- Install units, panels, and cover steel, meters, track keys, pull boxes, reactors, relays, fuses, MTB assemblies, panel boards, space heaters, transformers, etc., by mounting or bolting into place.
- Install bus work such as lug adapters, cross‑over bus, splices, etc.
- Make pre‑bent cable unit, MTB, and control panel harnesses using pre‑cable boards, control panels and hand‑crimp lugs if necessary.
- Cut, install and connect wire and/or cable where circuitry requires additional relays, timers, fuses, etc.; cut, form and connect control wire, power wire and cable point‑to‑point on units, relay panels, control panels, and space heaters; make solder connections.
- Modify standard assemblies or doors as received; adjust hole cutouts using hand or power tools.
- Make wiring changes as required; make necessary mechanical repairs, replacements or changes.
- Use a floor‑operated overhead‑crane and jib cranes to move units, harnesses, device panels, etc.
- Mark wires, devices or terminals as required and identify harnesses or panels with job and unit number; apply component s such as “Brady Markers” or “Dymo” if required and maintain records.
- Stage necessary component parts and material to facilitate smooth flow of order activities through assembly and manufacturing process.
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum six months of experience in an assembly‑related role using hand and/or power tools (experience in automotive repairs, construction, carpentry or other assembly environments will be considered) or completion of a one‑year technical school diploma from an accredited institution.
- No relocation benefit is being offered; candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of the work location. Active‑Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographical limitation.

- Minimum one year of manufacturing or production experience.
- Ensure compliance with applicable systems and programs such as ISO 9000‑2000, ISO 14001, Underwriters Laboratory, NEMA, and others; participate in and demonstrate understanding of Eaton Business System (EBS) and Eaton Safety Process (ESP).
