ATP is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Mill Operator to support our oilfield operations. This position is responsible for running the CNC Mill.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience with CNC mills, a strong understanding of oilfield threading standards, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, precision‑driven environment.
Schedule Monday
-Friday 7 AM
-2:30 PM
- Set up, operate, and run CNC milling machines with minimal supervision
- Machine oil and gas accessories and components to tight tolerances
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Work with API, Premium threads, and other oilfield threading standards
- Modify, edit, and optimize CNC programs at the machine as needed
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all shop safety and quality procedures
- Minimum of 10 years of CNC milling experience in a machine shop environment
- Strong, broad knowledge of CNC mill operations (setup through production)
- Proven experience machining oil and gas components or similar precision parts
- Familiarity with threads and oilfield specifications
- Ability to independently run jobs from print to completion
- Experience editing and modifying CNC programs (G-code or conversational, as applicable)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Experience with multiple CNC mill controls (e.g., Fanuc, Okuma OSP)
- Experience with 3-Axis and 4-Axis machines
- Knowledge of various materials used in oil and gas applications
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
