POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for safely setting up and machining complex metal components to meet customer requirements, adhering to drawing and print specifications.
- Operate CNC lathes proficiently.
- Utilize overhead cranes as needed for material handling.
- Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet specified tolerances.
- Read and interpret prints to ensure adherence to customer requirements.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, arithmetic, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Capable of making sound decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating medium to large horizontal CNC lathes.
- Preferably experienced with Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls.
- Ability to perform basic programming using Mazatrol and Fanuc systems.
- Experience working with long, tubular components and maintaining tolerances of +/-0.001".
- Familiarity with nickel, titanium super-alloys, carbon, and stainless steels.
- Proficient in MS Office; competent in basic computer skills.
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery and equipment noise.
- Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Potential exposure to metalworking fluids and chemicals.
2nd Shift (2 pm
-10 pm)
3rd Shift (10 pm – 6 am)
Weekday and weekend OT may be requested
