North West Manufacturing seeking sheet metal material handler for their temp to hire position on 2nd shift

A Sheet Metal Material Handler is responsible for moving, storing, and managing sheet metal materials while supporting fabrication, assembly, and installation processes in manufacturing or construction environments.

• Material Handling: Receive, unload, and transport sheet metal materials such as steel and aluminum, using forklifts, pallet jacks, or cranes.
• Inventory Management: Track, label, and record the location of sheet metal stock, monitor inventory levels, and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Support Fabrication: Deliver materials to sheet metal workers, ensuring timely availability for cutting, bending, and assembly operations.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Quality and Safety: Inspect materials for damage, maintain proper storage conditions, and adhere to safety protocols when handling sharp or heavy metal sheets.
• Shipping and Receiving: Prepare sheet metal products for shipment, including packing, crating, and documenting deliveries.
• Maintenance: Keep work areas, loading docks, and equipment clean and in good working order.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in material handling or sheet metal work is a plus.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials safely.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to safety standards.
