JOB SUMMARY

The loader is responsible for ensuring trucks are loaded correctly in a timely manner. Making sure all items (windows) are properly scanned before loading into the truck. This position requires accuracy in loading and complying with shipper documentation. The loader f follows warehouse instructions in building loads, limiting all damage if possible. Making sure that all windows are loaded complete and well blocked for securing during transit.

• Comply with Westlake Safety Policies

• Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility

• Provide safety leadership in promoting and creating a zero-injury safety culture.

• Load windows for shipment when trailers are available.

• Track and load product on paperwork while loading and insuring correct shipment of windows.

• Report any damaged window to the Supervisor or Lead immediately.

• Perform work in a safe and timely manner.

• Ensure truck trailers are checked before loading or unloading.

• Maintain housekeeping of shipping floor.

• Strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks.

• Manually lift and move the window to the belonging truck.

• Other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Lead.

• Basic skills such as inspection, math and reading.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Be dependable and hard worker.

• Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions.

• Must possess effective communication and organizational skills.

• Must be able to multi-task.

• Must be able to work independently and use good judgment.

• Ability to maintain attention to detail.

• Ability to hear audible noises.

• Ability to distinguish basic colors.

• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)

• Manufacturing/Warehouse 1 year (Preferred)

• Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out.

• Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.

• Prolong standing for up to 12 hours performing shift work or in a stationary position.

• Complete repetitive movements.

• Bend or twist.

• Wear all the required personal protective equipment.

• Work in constant noise above 85 decibels.

• Handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls.

• Lift/move up to 50 pounds.

• Remove or replace items up to 50 pounds.

• Ascend or descend stairs.
