Position Title: Band Saw Helper / Material Handler

Wage: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday - Friday)

We are currently hiring a Band Saw Helper / Material Handler in Houston, TX (77021) to support operations in a fast-paced steel shop. This role works closely with the band saw operator by pulling materials and packaging finished orders so the operator can stay focused on cutting and production. This is a hands‑on role in an open‑air industrial environment.

• Assist band saw operator with daily production tasks
• Pull materials for cutting orders
• Package and prepare finished materials for shipment
• Stage and organize orders for workflow efficiency
• Operate sit‑down forklifts to move materials (if experienced)
• Help with loading and unloading materials
• Maintain clean and safe work area
• Follow safety policies and procedures

• Ability to work in an industrial, open‑air environment
• Metal or steel industry experience
• Ability to lift and handle materials safely
• Safety‑focused and detail‑oriented
• Must pass background check and drug screen
• sit‑down forklift experience
• Overhead crane experience (or willingness to learn)
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English (safety signage and materials)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Candidates located within 10–15 miles of Houston (77021)
