Per Diem CNC Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Location: Newport News, VA

Job Type: Contract position based out of Houston, TX

Pay: $37.50/hr, $140 per diem

• Operate manual and NC machines such as lathes, mills, horizontal & vertical machining centers, and EDMs.
• Utilize controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, Acramatic, and Cincinnati-Milacron.
• Use precision measuring instruments including outside/inside micrometers, depth mics, and verniers.
• Perform threading, drilling, and tapping processes.
• Work with carbide machining processes.
• Interpret and comprehend complex mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Apply strong math skills in daily tasks.

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a CNC machinist.
• Experience working with mills and lathes.
• Knowledge of CNC machines and Fanuc control systems.
