Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the operation of forklift in a safe and effective manner. The operator will lift and pull items from 5,000 – 15,000 pounds.

• Operates motorized equipment used to move piping, vessels, engine compressors and coolers.
• Will drive lifts from 5,000 – 15,000 lbs.
• Will also lift and move 12X18 pallets with spotters to watch skid movement.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Minimum 0 – 4 years of related experience or training in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience lifting, push and pull a minimum of 5,000 pounds repeatedly.
• Certification required.
• Perform manual tasks for extended periods in unfavorable weather conditions.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
• May rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required including fluid and filter changes.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
