Lead Fabricator

Job Summary

Fabricators manufacture assorted products using various raw materials, tools, and manual labor. They produce customized products that meet customer specifications and prepare completed orders for shipment. They analyze capacity and production data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources, resolve issues related to production, machinery, processing, and packaging operations, and ensure quality control standards are maintained.

• Examine specifications of the customer’s order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
• Fabricate work pieces as determined by work order specifications.
• Retrieve correct materials and perform various fabrication duties.
• Inspect work pieces visually, by touch, or using tape measure, calipers, or gauges to ensure quality.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Coach and train lower‑level fabricators on proper execution of duties, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience with fabrication shop equipment.
• Metal‑working experience.
• Ability to lead staff by example and handle light supervisory duties.
• Familiarity with training and coaching techniques.
• Ability to change or adapt work practices, priorities, or procedures.
• Ability to think and take constructive action in work-related matters.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Time‑management and organization skills.
• Knowledge of HDPE butt fusion and fabrication.

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Pass pre‑employment assessment(s) if applicable.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs in a physical environment.
