Build a High-Performance Machining Cell in Houston, TX 77041
Our mission is simple: deliver precise components, on time, every time. As the Precision Manufacturing Cell Supervisor, you’ll turn that mission into reality by aligning people, process, and equipment for peak performance.
Your Impact- Hit production plans without sacrificing quality—every shift, every run.
- Grow a culture of continuous improvement and cross‑functional teamwork.
- Stabilize processes and reduce variation through standard work and tooling optimization.
- Keep machines healthy with proactive maintenance planning and follow‑through.
- Partner with Engineering and Production to iterate cutting strategies and fixtures for speed and accuracy.
- Make safety a shared value and ensure full compliance with all requirements.
- Use data to drive decisions—identify gaps, execute countermeasures, and verify results.
- Provide clear dashboards and reports to leadership covering output, quality, and team development.
- Oversee daily machining operations against schedule and quality targets.
- Lead and coach machinists; conduct skills assessments and targeted training.
- Document and improve machining procedures to boost throughput and efficiency.
- Coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve tooling, programming, and setups.
- Ensure a safe, compliant working environment at all times.
- Analyze KPIs and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare management reports on production, quality metrics, and team progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Manufacturing or related discipline preferred.
- 5+ years in machining operations with 2+ years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
- Expertise in machining fundamentals, tooling, and equipment.
- Demonstrated leadership—able to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with machining safety standards and regulations.
- Proficiency with machining software and tools (CAM, shopfloor systems, measurement tools).
