Purchasing Agent

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support our operations in Houston, Texas. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, tooling, and supplies necessary to support production and daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, vendor management experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

• Purchase materials, parts, tools, and supplies to support manufacturing and shop operations
• Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
• Create and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials
• Work closely with production, warehouse, and management teams to meet operational needs
• Research new vendors and sourcing opportunities to improve cost and quality
• Resolve issues related to damaged, incorrect, or delayed shipments
• Maintain purchasing records, pricing information, and vendor documentation
• Assist with cost-saving initiatives and inventory control efforts
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Previous purchasing, procurement, or inventory experience preferred
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or machine shop environments is a plus
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP/inventory systems
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and professional work ethic

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday
• Occasional lifting of boxes or materials up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work in both office and shop environments as needed
