Structural Fabrication Technician

The Structural Fabrication Technician is responsible for fitting, assembling, and preparing steel components for production. This role involves reading blueprints, measuring materials, operating fabrication equipment, and ensuring parts are built accurately and safely.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and shop drawings.
- Measuring, marking, and preparing materials for fabrication.
- Aligning and fitting steel components using hand tools and shop equipment.
- Operating fabrication tools, torches, and welding equipment as needed.
- Tack welding parts together when required.
- Cleaning and preparing materials for assembly.
- Following all safety procedures and company policies.
- Meeting daily production and quality goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year fabrication, fitting, or welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical requirements include:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring PPE.
