Assembly Specialist

The Assembly Specialist will be responsible for performing precision assembly of structural and compressor components in a manufacturing environment. The role involves interpreting technical drawings and specifications, handling and staging components, performing measurements, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the assembly process.

Requirement/Must Have:
  • High school education with basic knowledge of shop mathematics and operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, charts, and technical drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Ability to perform measurement conversions and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to obtain forklift and crane operator certifications.
  • 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing or related trade environment.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments including lifting, bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Experience:
  • 2–4 years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or related trades.
  • Applied trade training in blueprint reading, mechanical assembly, or related skills preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform all work in compliance with safety standards and procedures.
  • Review and interpret complex assembly instructions, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Inventory, clean, stage, and inspect components prior to assembly.
  • Safely handle and offload parts using rigging and lifting equipment.
  • Assemble structural and compressor components using approved tools and methods.
  • Take precision measurements and ensure adherence to required tolerances.
  • Document measurement results and maintain accurate production records.
  • Identify and report deviations or issues to management or engineering teams.
  • Perform minor maintenance, cleaning, and repairs as required.
  • Collaborate with engineering and management to improve assembly processes.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians.
  • Perform machining adjustments when required.
  • Cross-train and support test and packaging departments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Assist with quality checks, testing, and data recording activities.
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment safely.
Should Have:
  • Experience with mechanical assembly in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Familiarity with precision tools and measurement systems.
  • Ability to work in high-safety, regulated production environments.
Skills:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and work instructions.
Qualification And

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with basic shop math knowledge.
  • Trade training or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience preferred.
