Dover Precision Components ("DPC") is part of Dover Corporation and operates in the oil & gas, power generation, marine, industrial, chemical, and general processing markets.

This role operates CNC lathe and mill machines to produce standardized parts. Responsibilities include setting up and operating machines, performing inspections, maintaining records, creating jigs/fixtures, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and utilizing GD&T.

• Work from drawings, sketches and specifications to complete machining operations.
• Perform machine set‑ups to achieve close tolerances and part alignment.
• Obtain first‑piece inspections and perform inspections throughout a run.
• Maintain timesheets, part counts, inspection records and requisition forms.
• Make jigs, fixtures or other specialized devices as needed.
• Conduct first‑piece inspections for other machinists.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of machines.
• Troubleshoot drawings, machining, tooling, programming, material, etc., and make decisions on the job.
• Apply GD&T as indicated on prints.
• Ensure proper machine set‑up and accurate interpretation of prints to prevent damage and detect errors via tolerance/quality checks.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school or on‑the‑job training to become proficient on most phases of the job.
• Technical training in shop math and blueprint reading.
• At least 2 years of experience as a CNC machinist.

• Walks, stands, reaches, and bends frequently. Periodic lifting of moderate to heavy items. Requires good hand/eye coordination.

• Normal operations require eye protection, steel‑toed footwear, and occasionally hand protection.

• Exposure to machine shop environment with periodic noise. Limited disagreeable factors present.

This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
